About Our Testing - Signage

Once again, the Michigan City Parks and Recreation Department has teamed up with the LPCHD in erecting our new bulletin boards. A double-sided bulletin board is located near the park office by the new shelter. A single-sided board is located at the end of the pier walk leading into the lifeguarded beach. Please look for these signs to bring you valuable swimming and beach information.

The LPCHD also partnered with the Michigan City Parks and Recreation Department in purchasing an electronic message center sign located on the eastside of the entrance to Washington Park. All beach closings will be posted on the electronic message center by 11:00am.

The LPCHD has also purchased new and improved Beach Waters Closed and Beach Advisory Signs in Spanish and English. These signs were meant to be easier to see, be more informative, and provide contact numbers for more information. These signs will be posted at the entrances to each respective beach.
